Another hi from the Netherlands.

Post by m@rcelM-67 » 05/06/2011 12:23:14

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am Marcel, MY67, from a town called Alkmaar in the Netherlands.
Like Renzo, who also joined you're forum, i am also member of Subaru Club Nederland and the Board as Secretary.

My history with the Subaru Impreza started with an 1.6 GL.
I've got to start somewhere right?

At first it looked like this:

But ended up like this:

After that came the real thing, the GTT!

A peek at the dash, with parts painted professionally in Royal Silver:

Two months ago I imported a Litchfield Forester STI from the UK, only sold in Japan.
Renzo and me took some time and went there by plane and train to pick it up:

The standard specifications of the Subaru Forester STi are:

2.5 DOHC 16 valve AVCS, Intercooler Turbo
300 bhp @ 5600 rpm
300 lb/ft @ 3600 rpm
5 sec 0-60mph
150 mph top speed
6-Speed Manual
Brembo Brakes
18" X 7.5 JJ Alloys
Front & Rear LSD
AWD with Centre Diff

Mine came with the Litchfield Performance Pack, the company who also imported this car to the UK.
This boosted the Forester to the following impressive specs:

330 bhp @ 6000 rpm
330 lb/f t@ 3400rpm
4.8 sec 0-60mph (0-100kmh)
155 mph top speed
3” Milltek exhaust system with Sports Catalyst
Individually Re-programmed ECU

The aftermarket upgrades which reside under the bonnet:

Cosworth Timing Belt EJ25 Heavy Duty
Cosworth High Flow Synthetic Air Filter
Hyperflow TMIC WRX STi
Hyperflow Oil Catch Can WRX/STi 97-05
Prodrive 3-poorts port solenoid

And some extra goodies to make this car move in the direction i want it to go:

AP Racing 6 piston 355mm kit with Ferodo DS2500 with Goodridge upgrade.
Whiteline 22mm Adjustable Rear Swaybar, WRX

I think some of you have spotted me at the Road Tour Luxembourg, i enjoyed it very much, and would like to come back next year! :D

I hope i am not the Misfit on your board with probably the only Forester here, even if it says STi.

Hi JP and Ben.

Thanks for the warm welcome! :-D

I am really impressed with the road tour your club has organised.
It is not just respectable for the length, but the places it takes you are beautiful.
For me it was the first time in Luxemburg, but it wil not be the last!

If there is a road tour next year, you can count me in.
With Dutch greetings,

Marcel.
